“Putting People First”: Intercultural Dialogue and Imagining the Future in Oceania

The next conference of the European Society for Oceanists will be held in Verona, Italy, from 10 to 12 July 2008, hosted by the Dipartimento di Psicologia e Antropologia Culturale, Università degli Studi di Verona.
The general theme of the conference is: “Putting People First”: Intercultural Dialogue and Imagining the Future in Oceania
We invite you to submit a paper on any of the 13 proposed sub-themes (deadline: January 14, 2008). Please send your proposed title and abstract directly to the relevant session organizers, listed in the attached call for papers.

As was the case at the last four conferences, it has been decided to charge a conference fee of euro 140 for participants with full-time jobs and euro 80 for unemployed participants, students or those with part-time jobs. The fee provides for coffee/tea, lunch breaks, the welcome reception and a conference booklet with abstracts, but does not cover conference dinners.
After the deadline of 17 December 2007, the registration fees will increase to euro 170 for participants with full-time jobs and to euro 95 for unemployed participants and students.
